A well-established sales and distribution company in Kingston is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join its operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe operation, inspection, and maintenance of the forklift while supporting efficient warehouse and production activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily mechanical and visual inspections of the forklift to ensure safe operation.

• Remove sorted pallets of bottles from the packing area and deliver them to designated locations.

• Transport raw materials to production workstations.

• Report any mechanical failures, shortages, or quality deficiencies immediately to the Shift Leader.

• Perform routine maintenance and keep accurate records of forklift service and usage.

• Change gas tanks safely and according to company standards.

• Identify damages and determine the need for repairs.

• Maintain up-to-date inventory and production activity logs.

Qualifications & Skills

• At least 1 year of experience as a forklift operator or in a similar role.

• Valid Forklift License/Certification (required).

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

• Good knowledge of industrial equipment and warehouse operations.

• Excellent coordination and time management skills.

• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
