Forklift Operator

We are hiring a Forklift Operator for our Food & Beverage client in Kingston.

We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Operator. You must keep track of service and maintenance of the Forklift, conduct visual inspection of the forklift and drive under safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• To conduct a Mechanic and visual inspection of the forklift and register in due form "Forklift Shift Change Checklist" mechanical conditions.
• Feed with pallets of empty bottles the sorting lines as directed by Shift Leder or Quality operators.
• To remove from the packing area all sorted pallets of bottles and deliver them to designated area.
• To immediately report any mechanical failure to the Shift Leader.
• To change the gas tank.
• To Identify damages and determine need for repars.
• To report shortages & quality deficiences.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations.
• Keep updated records of inventory.
• Produce activity logs.

Qualifications/Skills:

• 1 year of experience as a forklift operator or similar role.
• Must have obtained a Forklift License 
• High Scool Diploma.
• Attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of industrial equipment.
• Very good physical condition.
• Excellent coordination.
• Valid certification to operate forklifts.
• Good time-management skills.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
