Forklift Operator/Cold Room Attendant

Responsible to safely operate forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise To carry out daily stock count in the Depot’s Cold Room.

FORKLIFT OPERATOR

To carry out daily stock count in the Cold Room 

Applications are invited for the positions of Forklift Operator at our South Road location:

Main Duties:

1. Load and unload products from delivery trucks efficiently
2. Remove ice cream from cold room for customer deliveries
3. Maintain adequate pallet supply for product movement
4. Provide support to the engineering team as needed
5. Minimize product spills during loading and offloading
6. Complete required operational and equipment checklists
7. Reconcile stock with the Cold Room Supervisor
8. Maintain accurate records of product quantities by flavour
9. Record start and end times for rack loading activities

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of three (3) CXC subjects including English Language, Mathematics/Accounts.
• Minimum   of one (1) year’s related work experience.
• Forklift certification.

• Good knowledge of the Company’s product range.
• Strong attention to details and able to multitask.
• Team player with good initiative and positive attitude.
• Good interpersonal skills with all levels of staff.
• Good deportment and adherence to the Company’s Dress Code.
• Must be able to pass a written and driving forklift skills test.
• Must be able to sit /stand and drive for virtually the entire shift.
• Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred.
