About the Role:

The Food Safety & Quality Assurance Officer supports in ensuring full compliance with GMP, HACCP, and ISO 22000 standards across all operations. The role is responsible for strengthening food safety systems, driving adherence to company policies and procedures, and supporting initiatives that enhance quality performance.

The incumbent will also assist with product development processes, ensuring all products meet regulatory requirements, internal standards, and customer expectations.

Key Functions

  • Strengthen our Food Safety & Quality Management Systems across all facilities, ensuring world-class standards and operational excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that elevate food safety performance, compliance, and brand integrity.
  • Develop, refine, and standardize SOPs, documentation, and quality processes to consistently exceed regulatory and internal standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive internal and supplier audits, ensuring proactive risk identification, root cause analysis, and effective corrective actions.
  • Analyze quality and operational data to implement measurable, system-driven improvements across the business.
  • Design and deliver impactful FSQA training, coaching, and mentoring programs to build capability and foster a culture of accountability.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations and Innovation to support new product development, scale-up, and regulatory compliance.
  • Safeguard and manage proprietary recipe standards, ensuring consistency, quality, and customer satisfaction at every touchpoint.
  • Investigate customer complaints with precision and urgency, implementing sustainable corrective actions that protect the brand.
  • Play a strategic role in ensuring every product delights customers while meeting all food safety, legal, and environmental requirements.

Our Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and ISO 22000 standards
  • Experience in food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance
  • Proven background in auditing, inspections, and corrective action management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop and implement SOPs and quality systems
  • Experience delivering training, coaching, and cross-functional support
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across operations and innovation teams
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
  • Certification in HACCP, Food Safety, or ISO 22000 (an added advantage).
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, or a related field within a manufacturing or food service environment.
  • Product development experience
  • Training in Product development is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
