To ensure that the Food Safety Management Systems of the company are coordinated to yield compliance with agreed/established food safety standards

Principal Accountabilities / Key Functions: 

  • Coordinate and perform Food Safety, Food Defenseand GMP audits/inspections of the operations, facility, documentation and systems. Prepare and circulate related reportsidentifying gaps, recommendations for improvements and who is responsible for resolution. 

  • Verifyand report on the effectiveness of the food safety prerequisite programmes.  

  • Report on and trend audit findings, discrepancies, non-conformances and complaints. 

  • Assess the effectiveness of corrective actions implemented from audits, inspections, non-conformances and complaints. 

  • Investigate and implement necessary actions through relevant individual(s) to resolve non-conformances and complaints.  

  • Document and update food safety risk assessments and HACCP programmes. 

  • Provide/perform Quality and Food Safety Training. 

  • Provide advice and guidance with respect to Food Safety, GMPS and Quality issues and support initiatives to build a food safety culture in the Company 

  • Prepare Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures in accordance with Food Safety and Quality requirements. 

  • Ensure adequate stock of reagents and consumables for performance of job-relatedtask. 

  • Request as required repairs and calibration for laboratory equipment used in the performance of the job. 

  • Identify and report real and potential issues and non-conformances and suggest possible solutions. 

  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s established good manufacturing practices (GMPs), Food Safety and Quality requirements. 

  • Actively promote, support and comply with Kiss Baking Company Limited’s established Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and industry best practices; 

  • Performs any other job-related duties as directed by Supervisor/Manager. 

 

 

 

Required Technical Qualifications & Experience: 

Education: 

 

Minimum  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science or related field. 

Experience: 

Minimum 

  • QA experience at minimum one year in a food environment 

 

 

 

 

Required Skills: 

  • Intermediate/advanced competency in MS Office – Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 

  • Effective oral and written communication skills 

  • Good analytical skills 

  • Strong interpersonal skills 

  • Team player who can prioritize effectively and judge multiple concurrent projects. 

  • Innovative problem solver who can generate workable solutions and influence others to implement what is agreed.  

  • Ability/confidence to provide open and honest feedback on issues where there is a shortfall from expectation by individuals and/or the Company
