The Food Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring food safety, compliance, and quality within the context of providing safe and high-quality products.

JOB OPPORTUNITY

Food Safety Officer (Permanent Full-Time)

Industry: Manufacturing & Distribution

Location: Trincity 

Salary: $10,000 per month

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field
  • Certification in Food Management Systems – GMP and HACCP
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ proven experience in food safety management, with a strong understanding of industry regulations and best practices
  • Knowledge of HSE procedures

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Strong leadership and training abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop documentation (SOPs, Wis, Forms, etc) to support Food Safety Management Systems for HACCP and maintain current GMP procedures
  • Develop and implement food safety policies and procedures in compliance with industry regulations and best practices
  • Conduct regular food safety inspections and audits to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Develop and lead training programs for employees on food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of food safety programs and recommend changes as needed
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies and third-party auditors to ensure compliance with food safety standards
  • Investigate food safety incidents and complaints, and implement appropriate corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of food safety activities and results
  • Collaborate with the HSE committee to ensure proper integration with Food Safety
