Fleet Technician

Ensure that all vehicles serviced/repaired meet the highest quality standards before they are returned to the fleet. You will be involved in inspecting, test driving, and analyzing various vehicle components and systems to ensure they conform to standard requirements.

Main Function

Key Accountabilities

- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles upon return from Service provider

- Perform functional tests on vehicle systems such as electrical, mechanical, and electronic components.

- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and rectify any quality issues.

- Monitor and enforce adherence to quality assurance standards and procedures.

- Document inspection results, defects, and non-conformities.

- Collaborate with service provider teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.

- Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings and quality metrics.

- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and corrective actions to be taken.

- Provide feedback to Fleet Supervisor/Manager on quality improvement opportunities.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards

Education and Experience

• 5 years’ experience as a junior mechanic or fleet technician is highly desirable
• Associate degree/Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical engineering
• Technical certification or associate degree in automotive technology or related field preferred
• Valid Open General driver’s license
• Specialized certification is an asset
