Fleet Maintenance Manager
The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and regulatory compliance of Aristo Kat Tours Ltd.'s luxury yacht fleet, service vehicles, and related marine equipment. This role ensures all fleet assets operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with standards set by the Jamaica Maritime Authority (JMA), the Tourism Product Development Company (TPDCo), and other applicable Jamaican regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically knowledgeable, and comfortable navigating vendor relationships both locally and overseas.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance for yachts and vehicles across locations.
Maintain accurate inventory of marine parts and maintenance supplies.
Source boat parts locally and internationally through effective online research and supplier communication.
Track fuel consumption, maintenance history, and repair logs for all vessels and vehicles.
Coordinate with mechanics, marine service providers, and vendors to schedule and verify service delivery.
Assist in planning for haul-outs, dry docking, inspections, and other major fleet servicing events.
Ensure compliance with standards and regulations set by the Jamaica Maritime Authority (JMA), the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Health, and TPDCo.
Support budgeting and forecasting related to repairs, replacements, detailing, and compliance expenses.
Respond promptly to urgent maintenance needs and emergencies.
Promote and uphold the luxury brand standards of Aristo Kat Tours Ltd. through attention to detail and professional presentation of fleet.
Demonstrate knowledge of, or be willing to develop competency in, yacht detailing procedures.
Gain and maintain proficiency (within 6 months of hire) in:
Diesel engine systems
Marine electrical systems
General boating principles and operations
Qualifications:
Diploma or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum 3 years' experience in marine or fleet maintenance (luxury yacht experience preferred).
Familiarity with vessel mechanical, electrical, and safety systems.
Ability to identify and source marine components through online research and supplier engagement.
Computer literate with strong communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly between Montego Bay, Negril, and Ocho Rios.
Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, if needed for emergency maintenance.
