The Fleet Logistics Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the organization’s transportation and fleet operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery and distribution activities. This role oversees fleet performance, vehicle maintenance, driver management, regulatory compliance, and vendor coordination while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across the logistics function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimize daily fleet and transportation operations to ensure efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs, vehicle servicing, inspections, and repairs to maintain fleet safety and performance.
  • Manage transportation personnel, monitor driver performance, and ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation, licensing, regulatory, safety, and risk management requirements.
  • Develop and manage fleet-related budgets, monitor operational costs, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Maintain fleet reporting systems, analyze operational data and KPIs, and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of fleet, transportation, and logistics operations, including compliance and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems such as SAP, with strong reporting and data analysis capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fleet, transportation, or logistics management within a distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between operational locations as required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing fleet operations, vendor relationships, transportation compliance, and operational improvement initiatives.
