About the Role:
The Financial and Cost Analysis Manager provides operational leadership and oversight of the company’s finance, accounting, and loss prevention functions. The role ensures accurate financial and cost reporting, robust internal controls, regulatory compliance, and timely analysis to support strategic decision-making. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the position supports the execution of the company’s financial strategy and strengthens financial governance across the organization.
Key Functions
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department, overseeing general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll support, fixed assets, and reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, financial reports, costing schedules, and analysis for review by the CFO.
- Ensure timely and compliant month-end and year-end closing processes in alignment with IFRS standards.
- Drive effective budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis, delivering actionable insights and recommendations.
- Support cash flow planning and liquidity management to maintain financial stability and operational continuity.
- Strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.
- Monitor compliance with financial policies, procedures, delegated authority limits, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee statutory reporting, tax filings, and regulatory submissions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to audit queries.
- Identify financial and operational risks, recommending corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Champion enterprise risk management and loss prevention strategies to protect organizational value.
- Ensure optimal use of financial systems, maintaining data accuracy, system integrity, and secure access controls.
- Support system enhancements and process improvements to increase efficiency and reporting effectiveness.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop finance team members, fostering high performance, accountability, and professional growth.
- Partner with senior leadership, department heads, and external stakeholders to provide strategic financial insight and support decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA) or Master’s Degree in Accounting/Finance (preferred)
- Minimum of Five years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Strong working knowledge of cost and management accounts principles
- Strong working knowledge of loss prevention processes and systems
- Solid understanding of taxation, payroll processes and regulatory compliance
- Prior audit experience is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting/ERP System
