The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's accounting operations.

Job Summary

The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's accounting operations. This includes the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Key Responsibilities

 Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, General Ledger, and Revenue Recognition.
 Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
 Prepare and publish timely, accurate, and complete financial statements for senior management and the board of directors.
 Coordinate and direct the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts, and report on variances.
 Ensure compliance with all statutory reporting and tax filing requirements (GCT, Payroll, Corporate Income Tax).
 Develop, implement, and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
 Serve as the primary liaison for the annual external audit and manage the audit process.
 Provide strategic financial analyses and insights to support executive decision-making.
 Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
 Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to build a high-performing finance function.

 

Requirements and Qualifications

 A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
 Professional accounting designation (ACCA, CPA) is mandatory.
 A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
 Thorough and in-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
 Proven experience with financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
 Advanced proficiency in accounting software [e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks Enterprise] and Microsoft Excel.
 Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
 Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
