Responsible for managing the company’s overall financial resources, overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions, integrating finance operations, forecasting, budgeting, handling tax matters, preparing financial reports, and ensuring organizational financial stability.

Report to: Chief Executive Officer

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and prepare financial reports and statements in accordance with IFRS accounting standards as requested. These include but are not limited to P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Forecasts.
  • Review the monthly sales funnel, and highlight adequacy to support business
  • Interpret and analyze financial data and make suitable recommendation to foster company growth and success.
  • Support the C.E.O. with strategic initiatives
  • Monitor internal controls to ensure adequate risk management.
  • Develop annual budgeting, and financial planning to ensure profitability.
  • Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies for cash flow optimization.
  • Oversee treasury functions, including banking relationships and investment management.
  • Managing financial transactions to ensure due diligence and strategic financial management
  • Streamline the operations of the Accounts department to obtain productivity and improve the overall company’s performance.
  • Review and oversee the payroll function including but not limited to monitoring payroll reports
  • Develop strategic plans for annual financial growth of the company and implement quarterly strategies to facilitate this initiative.
  • Evaluate and manage risk to foster financial stability and safeguard the company’s reputation and financial resources.
  • Manage the annual external audit
  • Manage the insurance of Company’s asset
  • Custodian of Company assets
  • Manage tax compliance to ensure that there is no exposure.
  • Any other assigned duties

Job Specification:

  • Master's degree in accounting or equivalent ACCA qualification.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years proven experience in finance management with a minimum of five (5) years at the managerial level.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
  • Auditing experience would be an asset
  • Must be compliance oriented.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline
  • Must be open minded and willing to learn new experiences.
