Responsible for managing the payables, cash flow, investments and financial risk.

The Financial Analyst is responsible for managing the organization's payables, cash flow, investments, and financial risk. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, strong analytical skills, and the ability to make sound financial decisions.

 

Daily Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and monitor transactions related to Tyre Warehouse Automotive operations.
  2. Prepare sales and collections analysis reports
  3. Proactively manage Supplier and Banking relationships, ensuring there is regular communication and resolution of issues.

 

Weekly Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in preparing rolling cashflow forecasts and relevant commentaries to guide planning of the week’s vendor payments.
  2. Prepare bank reconciliations for the main operating bank and credit card accounts.

 

Monthly Responsibilities:

  1. Request and Reconcile Key supplier statements with the company’s Accounts Payable listing.
  2. Work closely with the CFO and Chief Accountant to analyse and report on ad-hoc financial data, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
  3. Prepare all analyses and reconciliations per assigned month-end checklist areas and assigned GL accounts.

 

 

As Needed Responsibilities:

  1. Verify and enter journal vouchers, AR receipts, and bank reconciliations on Sage.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  1. Thorough understanding of financial markets, cash flow management, and risk management.
  2. Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  3. Proficiency in accounting software (Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
  4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

 

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.
