The Finance and Systems Analyst will serve as the key link between the Finance and Information Technology functions by providing functional support for SAP within the Finance Department.
The role combines financial systems support, business analytics, and core accounting responsibilities to ensure the integrity, efficiency, and continuous improvement of financial operations and reporting processes. The incumbent will provide hands-on support for SAP (Version 6.4 and above), assist with financial reporting and analysis, support audit and compliance activities, and provide technical accounting guidance to strengthen financial controls, data accuracy, and decision-making across the organization.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Professional Accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent from a recognized accredited institution.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline would be an asset.
- SAP Finance certification or equivalent ERP systems certification would be an asset.
- Training or certification in data analytics, business intelligence, or project management would be an asset.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, or management accounting.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience supporting SAP Finance modules (V6 and above) or similar Tier 1 ERP systems.
- Demonstrated experience in financial systems support, business analytics, and financial reporting.
- Experience supporting audits, technical accounting matters, and internal control processes.
- Experience with automation initiatives, systems optimization, or Finance transformation projects would be an asset.
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Power BI, and financial reporting tools would be an asset.
- Supervisory experience would be considered an asset.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide day-to-day functional support for SAP Finance modules (V6.4 and above).
- Troubleshoot system issues, resolve user queries, and liaise with Information Technology personnel and external vendors where necessary.
- Support SAP system configuration, testing, upgrades, enhancements, and implementation of new functionalities related to Finance processes.
- Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), documentation, and deployment of system improvements.
- Maintain the integrity, security, and accuracy of financial system data and reporting structures.
- Design, develop, and maintain financial reports and dashboards within SAP and related reporting tools.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial and operational data used for reporting purposes.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Perform financial analysis and business analytics to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Support ad hoc reporting requests and provide insights into financial performance, trends, and variances.
- Provide technical accounting support in accordance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the preparation of audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
- Support the maintenance and strengthening of internal controls and financial governance processes.
- Ensure compliance with established financial policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Process Improvement and Systems Optimization
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve Finance processes using SAP capabilities and automation tools.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional transformation projects.
- Assist in documenting financial systems processes, workflows, and user procedures.
- Collaborate with Finance and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical systems solutions.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information, records, and systems documentation.
