Finance Officer

The Finance Officer is charged with the responsibility for providing specific financial accounting information in support of the general accounting requirements of the Company. Ensures that accounting operations done within the Unit are done in accordance with financial rules and regulations.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Finance Officer is charged with the responsibility for providing specific financial accounting information in support of the general accounting requirements of the Company. Ensures that accounting operations done within the Unit are done in accordance with financial rules and regulations.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

• Assist in the implementation, review and continuous improvement to internal financial control systems, procedures and policies.
• Assist in preparing and finalizing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries.
• Maintains and updates the general ledger accounting system and all related accounts with the Company’s monthly operating revenues and expenditure.
• Assist in preparing, reviewing and presenting the annual budget to the Finance Coordinator for approval.
• Assist in analyzing financial performance and contribute to the medium/long term business performance.
• Give accounting support to the Company’s Technical Coordinators when they are developing their program Budgets.
• Prepare and submit pay sheets, vouchers and other accounting documents as requested. ● Assist in the preparation of estimates for all Recurrent Votes.
• Assist in preparation of projection of expenditure and ensure availability of funds through request for release for the Recurrent Votes.
• Ensure safe storage of financial and accounting documents.
• Assist in any other related duties

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

• Holder of Professional Accounting qualification: BSc Accounting; Level 2 ACCA or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Three (3) years’ experience in a related field.
• Familiarity with accounting tools and software
