Finance Officer/Analyst

Role Purpose

To manage the finances of the company by developing, analysing, and implementing financial procedures and policies to develop the business of the company to achieve its stated objectives.

Reporting Relationship

This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

Role Scope

This position involves leadership of the finance team and provides analysis and support at a professional level in accordance with professional standards.

Responsibilities Summary

• Prepares annual budget and monthly management accounts which will include analyses regarding performance against budget.
• Drafts and Implements finance policies of the Company and at all times conform to and comply with the directions and regulations of the Company.
• Exercises general control and responsibility for the financial management of the company and the day to day operations of the Finance department.
• Develops and maintains relationships with banking, insurance and other financial institutions.
• Facilitating management training and coaching of staff members on financial matters to ensure high financial standards and level of productivity.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

• A qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• A degree in Accounting, finance or similar discipline.
• Proficient and efficient in general accounting software.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
• Strong writing, analytical and communication skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent relationship and relationship management skills.
• Attention to detail.
