🧭 Reports To: Country Manager (with indirect reporting to Finance Director & CFO)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead and manage all financial operations within the country. This senior role is responsible for financial governance, IFRS compliance, strategic planning, and operational financial support, with a strong focus on supporting oil and gas business activities.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Oversight & Reporting

• Manage financial operations and ensure compliance with local regulations and IFRS
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, IFRS schedules, and group reporting packs
• Perform variance analysis and deliver management reports

Compliance & Controls

• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Coordinate internal and external audits and address audit findings
• Maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets

Strategic Analysis

• Provide financial analysis to support decision-making, risk assessment, and investment evaluation
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems

Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
• Partner with senior leadership and work cross-functionally to support business objectives

Operational & Project Support

• Oversee day-to-day financial activities (sales, purchasing, banking, cash flow)
• Develop financial models for business units and projects

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Master’s degree, MBA, CPA, or ACCA preferred
• 7–10 years of financial management experience, including 5 years at senior level
• Strong IFRS knowledge and regulatory compliance experience
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
• Experience with a European conglomerate an advantage
