Job Title - Finance Manager The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the financial resources of the Credit Union and supports the Group Financial Comptroller by offering insights and financial advice pertaining to financial and investment decisions.

JOB SUMMARY

The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the financial resources of the Credit Union and supports the Group Financial Comptroller by offering insights and financial advice pertaining to financial and investment decisions.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and/or maintain policies and/or procedures for functions under the purview of the Finance Manager,
• Compile and analyze financial data and interpret results,
• Manage and report on the performance and activities of Investment and Treasury management and procurement functions,
• Lead the preparation of financial analysis reports,
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly finance report and financial statements,
• Analyze market trends and competitors,
• Provide financial and cost information for operations and capital budgets of the department,
• Review, monitor and manage budgets of the credit union, and liaise with management to remedy any variances,
• Ensure compliance with the regulatory processes and requirements of the credit union,
• Guide and implement investment and borrowing decisions,
• Set and administer the product pricing structures for approval of the Group Financial Comptroller,
• Guide and report on the management of Financial Risks and participate in the Asset-Liability Committee (ALCO),
• Develop and recommend internal financial controls and procedures to minimize risk exposures,
• Participate in the strategic planning process,
• Authorize journal entries and cheque payments, verify and approve,
• Approve purchase orders or requests in line with delegated authority,
• Supervise and assess the performance of subordinate staff and provide formal appraisals,
• Participate in special projects and initiatives
• All other assigned duties.
