Assess and provide guidance on systems for each function in the department.
Assess and make recommendations to improve processes which effectively increase efficiency in the Finance Department.
Responsible for the management of cash (inclusive of budgeting, forecasting etc.)
Continuously review procedures and measures of control, to maximise accountability and minimise fraudulent activity.
Conduct activities to control operational costs, monitor generation of revenue and overall expenditure.
Create and monitor financial policies and procedures for the Company.
Continuously assess the company's financial viability and pinpoint areas of improvement or potential opportunities, reduce costs and simultaneously maximise profits.
Manage the Finance Department i.e. Accounts Receivables and Payables, Purchasing, Payroll etc.
Manage all Finance personnel and map out departmental training annually.
Responsible for financial statements presented to Board of Directors.
Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports as required.
Perform income audits to ensure that all relevant accounting procedures are being adhered.
Be knowledgeable of and follow all relevant regulations, reporting and legislation as they relate to financial practices.
Manage the Company’s financial requirements, which include but aren’t limited to tax preparation, auditing, banking and investments.
Ensure compliance with standards and company policies.
Perform a lead role on assigned projects.
Assist with selected operational duties.
Requirements
Currently Pursuing or Has attained ACCA Level III
Minimum of Five (5) years experience in Finance with at least two (2) years in a Managerial role.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Micropay and established Accounting Software.
Possess a logical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to make clear and concise decisions.
Ability to assemble, analyse and understand integrated spread sheets and complex technical information, superior organisational skills, with an eye for detail.
Possess the skills necessary to prioritise and meet deadlines
Effective relationship management skills
Be Self-disciplined, and flexible to work on one’s own or as part of a team.
Be available to work extended hours including weekends and holidays when the need arises.
