Finance Analyst (Curacao)

Finance Analyst – Curacao

Our Finance team plays an important role in delivering value to the business with efficient financial management and financial control necessary to support all business activities.

We are seeking an individual to fill the role of Finance Analyst to lead the team in the preparation of timely and accurate financial information and analysis to support the decision-making process of the company and the wider Cluster team.

What else will you do?

• Month-end Close Off deadline is achieved by the 6th of each month
• GCG Month end Management Accounts are accurately completed on the 6th of each
• GCG Month-end reports are submitted to Executive Management Team by the 10th of each month
• Coordinate the month-end close off process as per Company guidelines re: Accountant /Finance Manager Checklist/Timetable
• Prepare draft monthly financial statements and reports
• All month-end schedules are completed by the 15th of each month. All schedules are up to date with No open items over 30 days
• Preparation of adjusting general ledger journals including but not limited to: Accruals, Prepayments, Inventory Reconciliations
• Preparation and computing pricing and costing proposals.
• Returns are correctly completed and submitted before the deadline
• Filing all Financial Reporting documents
• Preparation and monitoring of annual budgets.

Qualifications and Experience needed:

• A university degree in a related field or
• Equivalent Accounting qualification with
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position
• Advance level user of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger Reconciliations, Taxation and Financial Statement Preparation
• Must be legally able to work in Curacao. 

Other Skills and Attributes desired:

• Good project management skills
• Ability to capture and collate data accurately
• Fluent in English and Spanish. Papiamento an asset.
• Poses a high level of confidentiality.
• Sound knowledge of financial principles and practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
• A high level of confidentiality, reliability and responsibility.
