Field Sales Representative

Role Overview:

The Field Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling the company’s products and services by visiting clients across various sectors. The role involves lead generation, client relationship management, and order support. Candidates must track sales activities, maintain client records, and assist with product sampling and deliveries. A reliable vehicle and strong communication skills are essential. This is a field-based role requiring self-motivation and independence.

Role Description:

Field Sales & Client Prospecting

  • Spend most of the workday on the road visiting existing and potential clients across various sectors (e.g., salons, clinics, restaurants, offices, retail).
  • Promote and sell the Company’s line of paper products, nitrile gloves and any new items introduced to the market.
  • Prospect, qualify, and secure new sales leads through cold calls, walk-ins, referrals, and territory mapping.
  • Ability to build and qualify leads and follow up on prospects

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Conduct regular in-person follow-ups, assess client needs, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Track customer purchase history and proactively manage reorders.

Client Database & Sales Tracking

  • Develop and maintain a personal client database or CRM file with contact information, order history, notes, and follow-up schedules.
  • Submit weekly reports on sales activities, customer visits, conversions, and competitor intelligence.
  • Sample Distribution & Order Assistance
  • Distribute product samples where appropriate and support clients in making product choices.
  • Assist in coordinating deliveries and, when necessary, perform direct drop-offs for urgent client needs.

Product Knowledge & Brand Representation

  • Stay updated on all product specs, pricing, and promotional campaigns.
  • Represent the Company professionally at all times, including at pop-ups, expos, and trade events.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must own a reliable vehicle and be willing to travel extensively across Trinidad and Tobago.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in field sales (preferably in FMCG, medical supplies, or janitorial products).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong self-management and time organization while working independently.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets or any basic CRM tools for tracking prospects and sales.
