1. Fiber Optic Splicer

Job Description

Responsible for splicing, testing, and maintaining fiber optic cables to ensure high-quality network performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fusion in closures and cabinets

• Conduct OTDR and power meter testing

• Troubleshoot and repair fiber faults

• Prepare splice diagrams and test results

• Follow company safety and quality standards

Requirements

• Proven experience or certification in fiber optic splicing

• Knowledge of single-mode and multi-mode fiber

• Experience using splicing and testing equipment

• Willingness to work in the field and after hours when required

• Strong attention to detail

2. Linesman

Job Description

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial and underground fiber optic infrastructure across various locations in Trinidad & Tobago.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain aerial fiber cables on utility poles

• Climb poles and work at heights safely

• Install anchors, brackets, and supporting hardware

• Repair damaged cables caused by weather, vegetation, or vehicular impact

• Adhere to T&TEC safety guidelines and company procedures

Requirements

• Experience working as a Linesman or similar role

• Comfortable working at heights and outdoors

• Physically fit and safety-oriented

• Valid Trinidad & Tobago driver’s permit is an asset

• Knowledge of pole hardware and cable routing

3. Fiber Optics Installer

Job Description

Responsible for installing and activating fiber optic services at residential and commercial customer premises.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and terminate drop cables

• Mount, activate, and test ONUs/ONTs and routers

• Verify light levels and service quality

• Educate customers on basic equipment usage

• Complete installation reports accurately

Requirements

• Experience in fiber optic or telecommunications installations

• Basic networking knowledge

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Ability to troubleshoot basic service issues

• Willingness to work flexible hours
