FACILITIES SUPERVISOR

JOB PURPOSE

To coordinate and oversee assigned maintenance and improvement projects for terminal buildings, including renovations, upgrades, and new construction initiatives, according to strict deadlines and within budget.  This includes acquiring resources, supervising and coordinating the effort of team members and third-party contractors or consultants, with the approval of the Maintenance, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Project Engineer, in order to deliver projects according to plan. Oversee quality control throughout the life of the project. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day maintenance and operational activities of terminal buildings and facilities, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetics.
• Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the efficient and effective operation of buildings and terminal infrastructure.
• Coordinate and oversee maintenance and improvement projects for terminal buildings, including renovations, upgrades, and new construction initiatives under the supervision of the MEP Project Engineer.
• Collaborate with the facilities management team to develop and manage budgets for maintenance projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial accountability in the context of terminal operations.
• Enforce and promote adherence to strict safety protocols and regulations within terminal buildings and facilities, conducting regular safety inspections, and addressing any identified issues promptly.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, engineering, and safety teams, to ensure seamless integration of building and terminal maintenance activities with overall terminal operations.
• Liaise with external vendors and contractors for maintenance services, ensuring compliance with KFTL standards and contractual agreements.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KEY COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Civil Engineering or other relevant field
• Minimum of five (5) years’ working experience in an industrial environment
• Proven experience in facilities and terminal maintenance, with a focus on buildings and infrastructure.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with a track record of effectively managing teams in a facilities maintenance context.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety within terminal buildings and facilities.
