A window and door fabrication in-charge for aluminium fabrication company is responsible for overseeing the daily production of windows and doors. 

This role involves managing a team, ensuring product quality and safety, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining efficiency through tasks like scheduling, inventory management, and problem-solving. 

Key skills include technical knowledge of fabrication processes, leadership abilities, and a strong understanding of materials and manufacturing standards.

The job involves

1. Supervision of the production.  Oversee the day-to-day operation to ensure the projects are completed in time within budget and as per the Quality standards.
2. Coordinate the Workflow: Develop and implement production schedules, monitor the stock levels and collaborate with the sales and accounts to optimise the productivity and cost control.
3. Maintain the Machines and equipment: Ensure the fabrication machineries, punching machines and tools are maintained and are always in good working order.  Relate with the maintenance personnel and create a proper preventive maintenance schedule is adhered.
4. Improve the process: develop and implement action plan and processes to optimise the efficiency, reduce wastages and lower the costs. Must be able to create bench marking metrics in terms of production, productivity to the team.
5. Manage the team: Create working team member group to produce the product categories, fabricate the items as per the order and able to evaluate the performance of the team. One of the responsibilities is to manage the work force coming in time and enforcing them not to waste time.
6. Quality and Safety: Implement and enforce safety protocols, conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with regulations.
7. Reporting and Records maintenance: Day to day reports of production, Material usage, variance reports, and evaluation of the  personnel must be provided from time to time to the supervisors.
8. Technical Knowledge:  Review technical drawings, blue prints and schematic to guide production and trouble shoot technical issues. Create a work order specification to determine lay out and installation procedures

Essential Skills

1. At least 3 to 5 years hands on experience in building fabricated products of aluminium and able to understand the blue print reading, design interpretation, measurement  clarity with understanding of the installation of the windows and doors in the desired location.
2. A high level of expertise in fabrication techniques, including specialized welding (MIG and TIG for aluminum), precision cutting, and machining.
3. Diploma in fabrication technology of aluminium or Mechanical engineering with fabrication knowledge will be additional advantage.
4. Efficiency in tool using both hand and power tools for cutting shaping drilling and fastening aluminium materials.
5. Clear communication and make things with in the scheduled time with in specified cost structure is must.
