FURNITURE SPECIALIST/STRATEGIST - AN EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY

Our Client, JFP Limited (JFP) is seeking an energetic and experienced senior leader with a strong growth mindset and deep technical know-how in the field to join our executive team as a Furniture Specialist/Strategist. This is a new, critical support role positioned for succession to the CEO that will be instrumental in driving strategic planning, implementing change, and ensuring the financial health and future competitiveness of the organization.

JFP is a leading commercial contract furniture manufacturer, established in 1985. Starting as Jamaica Fibreglass Products, the company has evolved to offer extensive commercial furnishings using a variety of materials including wood, metal, upholstery, solid surface, and acrylic, operating out of a 75,000 sq. ft. facility.

• JFP is one of the largest contract furniture manufacturers in the region, offering a complete end-to-end service from concept and design to delivery and installation.
• JPF caters to the global hospitality and commercial furniture industry, manufacturing furniture for offices, hotels, restaurants, and schools.
• Their strong customer base includes major companies locally and internationally, such as quick-service restaurants like KFC, Pizza Hut, and Mother's, and hotel chains like Spanish Court Hotel and AC Marriott Hotel.
• JFP is committed to the 'Buy Jamaican, Build Jamaica' ethos and are focused on expanding into the USA, CARICOM, and South/Central American markets.

About the Role

The Furniture Specialist/Strategist will provide crucial support services, including strategic planning and implementation, innovation and change management, operational guidance, resource allocation, and corporate governance. Key responsibilities include:

• Strategy and Planning: Develop and present a comprehensive long-term strategic vision and actionable plans for board review and implementation.
• Financial and Performance Oversight: Develop strategies for revenue growth and operational efficiency. Analyze and report on key financial metrics, budgets, and forecasts, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and margin improvement.
• Operational Excellence: Lead innovation and change management initiatives to enhance competitiveness. Provide recommendations on resource allocation (financial, human, capital) to optimize operations.
• Executive Support and Succession: Provide advisory support to department heads under CEO/COO supervision and contribute to building a robust succession pipeline for critical roles.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the organization professionally in public relations and networking activities, and provide updates on progress and strategies implemented at board meetings.

About the Person

We are looking for a strategic leader who meets the following criteria:

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 15 years in senior advisory or executive roles.
• Proven strategic and operational expertise within the furniture manufacturing industry.
