FITNESS INSTRUCTOR

The successful applicant will instruct/coach individuals and groups in exercise activities. S/He will demonstrate techniques and methods of participation, observe participants and inform them of corrective measures necessary to improve their skills. 

Applicants should satisfy the following minimum requirements:

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to provide a fitness programme which caters for all guests
• Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times while maintaining excellent customer service standards
• Effectively demonstrate techniques and methods of participation and offer alternatives during classes to accommodate varying levels of fitness
• Ability to promote the fitness programme and actively aim to increase participation
• Must be able to ensure health and safety - advising guests of the proper use of equipment
• Able to work independently and on own initiative
• Ability to work well within a team and maintain effective working relationships

Qualifications and Experience

• Applicable fitness certification
• A minimum of one year experience in a similar field
• Knowledge of current fitness industry developments
• Knowledge of emergency First Aid procedures
