The incumbent services existing customers with the company's products to meet sales targets. The incumbent also seeks new business to continuously grow the division, provides Technical Support, including troubleshooting. Manages credit and assists in the collection of outstanding payments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Maximise product offerings by effectively marketing the Company's goods and services to Customers. 
  2. Develop service level plans to ensure efficient and effective service to Customers both locally & regionally. 
  3. Capture and analyse competitors and competitor activity in the marketplace and determine competitive strategy to gain market share. 
  4. Ensures proper knowledge of the Company’s products (strengths & weaknesses) and keeps abreast of inhouse & Supplier product innovations as they pertain to the end use of relevant products. 
  5. Ensures proper knowledge of the Customers’ Adhesive Application Systems including, application equipment, substrates to be bonded, application speeds, application temperatures etc. and develops a good understanding of the Customers’ Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). 
  6. Ensures necessary after-sales service to Customers consistently. 
  7. Monitors and reports on the progress of Product introductions and performance of New Customers. 
  8. Maintains good relations with customers while following up leads for new ones through lists of prospects, commercial directories, and social contacts. 
  9. Reports product quality-related problems to technical support / R & D Manager & Quality Assurance Manager. Provides timely feedback to customers. 
  10. Prepare travel schedule to customers outside of the country to ensure targets are met, maintain customer satisfaction and build relationships. 
  11. Liaises with Technical support / R & D Manager, Quality Assurance Manager and Third-Party Supplier Technical Support personnel on new products for applications in Industrial Trade. 
  12. Assists in proper inventory management and rotation of the Company’s products at customers' premises especially for limited shelf-life products. 
  13. Co-ordinates and directs the most efficient, timely and economical delivery of products. 
  14. Reviews updated daily records of outstanding orders and seeks to obtain quarterly adhesive requirements from all Customers.  
  15. Assists in the Inventory control of Industrial Adhesives to ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained to meet customer's projected requirements. With regard to products that are imported from third party suppliers for distribution, it must be ensured that holding inventories & purchasing programs match Customer projected requirements. 
  16. Completes a daily Sales Report including all Customers visited and all orders received in person or electronically (Phone, Fax or Email) and forwards same to Lead. 
  17. Manages Credit and monitors payments to ensure that these are made in accordance with the Company's credit policy. 
  18. Keeps customers informed of existing prices, credit terms, product range, and delivery conditions. 
  19. Assists in identifying and contributing to the solution of problems that impact negatively on the department and the Company as a whole. 
  20. Promotes and enhances harmonious working relationships both within the department, and between this and other departments. 
  21. Provides courteous, quality, and professional service to Customers. 
  22. Performs other related duties as may be required by the job function or by the Team Lead.
Minimum Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Management or other business-related field
  • At least 3 years in a fast paced sales environment
