The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing high level administrative support to the CEO’s office to facilitate the achievement of key tasks and organization initiatives.

QNET, a subsidiary of the Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League Group (and part of the Credit Union Movement), provides IT solutions including Software Development, Website Hosting, Professional services, etc. We are seeking to engage a highly confidential and professional individual to fill the position of Executive Assistant at our Ruthven Road Office.

The Role:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Assistant is responsible for the following: 

  • Providing high level administrative support to the CEO’s office to facilitate the achievement of key tasks and organizational initiatives
  • General office management which includes appointment scheduling, preparing reports, presentations, minutes and other documents for review
  • Handling correspondence and information requests
  • Planning and coordination of meetings, travel and other events
  • Organizing and facilitating communication both internally and externally
  • Ensuring proper creation and maintenance of corporate files
  • Assisting with the preparation of budgets and the drafting of policies and procedures
  • Acting as a secretariat for the Board 

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Administrative Management/Business Administration or other related discipline from a recognised institution
  • Two (2) years’ work experience in a similar position 

Knowledge, Skills, Competences, and Personal Attributes: 

  • Ability to record and transcribe accurate, concise minutes of meetings
  • Basic Information Technology knowledge
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • A team player who can adhere to a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness and ability to undertake training needed to fulfil the changing requirements of the job
  • Resourceful and results-oriented
