 Position Scope:  

The Caribbean Industrial Research Institute (CARIRI) is seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to provide strategic and administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This is not a routine administrative role — it is a pivotal position at the heart of the organization, requiring sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders, including the Board of Management and Government Ministries.

 the opportunity:  

As Executive Assistant to the CEO, you will serve as a trusted partner and key liaison, ensuring the seamless operation of the CEO’s office. You will manage complex priorities, coordinate high-level engagements, and handle sensitive matters with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.

 

Key Duties And Responsibilities:

 §  Provide high-level executive and administrative support to the CEO, including preparation of reports, presentations, and correspondence.

      • Manage and optimize the CEO’s calendar, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
      • Coordinate meetings with senior stakeholders, including Board members, Government officials, and external partners.
      • Prepare briefing materials, agendas, and minutes for executive and Board-level meetings.
      • Conduct research and develop reports to support decision-making.
      • Manage all communications on behalf of the CEO with discretion and professionalism.
      • Coordinate local and international travel logistics and itineraries.
      • Support special projects and ensure timely follow-up on key actions.
      • Act as the first point of contact for the CEO’s office, representing the organization with professionalism and tact.

 §  Performs other related duties as required.

Education:

 ·         Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Studies, or a related field

      • Project management certification is an asset

Experience:

 

      • Minimum 10 years’ experience providing executive-level support.
      • Proven ability to manage complex schedules, competing priorities and confidential information.
