The Engineering Surveyor is responsible for conducting land, construction, and engineering surveys to support infrastructure, civil, and construction projects. The role involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting survey data to ensure accuracy in project planning, design, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct topographical, boundary, construction, and engineering surveys for projects
  • Operate and maintain surveying equipment including GPS, total stations, levels, and data collectors
  • Prepare and interpret survey drawings, maps, plans, and reports
  • Establish reference points, benchmarks, and control networks for construction and engineering works
  • Verify dimensions, elevations, and alignments during project execution
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and project teams to ensure accuracy of survey data
  • Monitor construction progress and provide as-built surveys where required
  • Process and analyze survey data using surveying and CAD software
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate records, field notes, and survey documentation
  • Assist with project planning, estimations, and technical reporting
  • Identify and resolve surveying discrepancies or site-related issues

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in engineering or construction surveying
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, or related surveying software
  • Experience using GPS, Total Station, and leveling equipment
  • Knowledge of local land and engineering regulations would be an asset
  • Valid driver’s permit required

Working Conditions

  • Combination of office and field-based work
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and construction environments
  • May require travel to project sites and extended working hours based on operational needs
