Engineering Specialist

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

•  Install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment and systems for packaging lines and process equipment 
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and mechanical issues, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective actions/necessary repairs.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and automated systems controlling automated equipment and processes.
• Calibrate and maintain electrical instrumentation devices (sensors, flow meters, level controls, etc.).
• Fabricate and modify parts as needed using basic machine shop equipment.
• Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, pumps, and compressors.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment across all properties/plants.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks such as lubrication, adjustments, and inspections for both electrical and mechanical assets.

Job Requirements:

• A Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics)
• At least three years experience in a manufacturing environment; distillery knowledge would be an asset.
• Competency in control circuit wiring & skills in PLC programming would be advantages.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a shift system
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, AUTOCAD)
