The role ensures consistent operational practices and supports organizational service and growth objectives through close collaboration with Sales, Claims, and Policy Administration teams.
KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accurate and timely processing of all claims and pre-certification requests within approval limits in accordance with policy terms and conditions and service standards.
Prepare and dispatch pended claim documents and disbursement cheques.
Prepare daily claims report for assignment to Senior Supervisor- Claims.
Daily Upload of paper claims to Teamworks platform.
Daily filing of claim documents.
Daily scanning and distribution of documents from clients to Group UW and Policy Admin teams through Teamworks platform.
Confirm receipt of printed cheques daily for preparation of dispatch.
Prepare Rest-Easy and Creditor Life Certificates for clients.
Daily assignment of tickets from the Grenada inbox.
Daily processing of group premiums.
Prepare monthly due premium report for Senior Supervisor- Policy Administration.
Prepare monthly commission statements for sign off by Senior Supervisor- Policy Administration.
Effectively communicate and engage Client Relations and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution of client requests.
Act as key support to Senior Account Manager for assigned clients ensuring timely and professional assistance related to overall plan management.
Escalate queries to Senior Account Manager for quick resolution.
Prepare presentations to support employee awareness for new (and existing) clients.
Prepare presentations to support plan administrator training for new (and existing) clients.\
Support operations and client relations teams with respect to onboarding of new groups.
Assist in managing project timelines and any deliverables within operational and client relations teams.
Complete other job-related task assigned.
KEY TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
Basic knowledge and understanding of the core principles of insurance and how this is applied on a day-to-day basis.
Basic knowledge and understanding of the range of insurance products and services available in the market and how that knowledge can be used to meet client needs.
Basic knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements and how to meet these on a day-to-day basis. It is also about understanding the concept of operational risk and how this is controlled within organizations.
Basic knowledge of how claims should be handled and managed
Basic knowledge of the underwriting process
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software tools.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Five (5) CXC subjects including Math and English (minimum grade II)
LOMA or ACS certifications in Life and/or Group insurance will be an asset.
Work experience within a corporate environment will be an asset.
