About the Role
The Employee Benefits Sales Officer is responsible for expanding JN Life’s Group Life and Pension portfolio by generating new business, supporting brokers, and delivering a strong client experience. The role requires active prospecting, disciplined follow-up, and the ability to provide clear guidance to organizations seeking group insurance solutions. Success is measured through monthly sales targets, service SLAs, and strong retention of existing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospecting and Pipeline Development: Identify and pursue new group life and pension opportunities through networking, referrals, scheduled meetings, worksite presentations, and targeted outreach to JN Group member companies and external corporate clients.
- Client Needs Assessment: Conduct structured fact-finding sessions to understand clients’ current coverage, long-term goals, and workforce needs; translate findings into tailored Employee Benefits proposals.
- Proposal Development and Delivery: Prepare coordinated employee benefits plans and present them to decision-makers, ensuring all proposals are accurate, compliant, and delivered within required SLAs.
- Broker Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with JN Life Brokers through consistent engagement, monthly visits, and collaborative sales activities.
- Client Support and Retention: Monitor premium payments, guide plan amendments, support claims processing, and conduct follow-up visits to maintain required persistency levels and strengthen client loyalty.
- Reporting and Administrative Compliance: Submit weekly activity reports, ensure complete and accurate documentation for all applications, and maintain records to support operational and audit requirements.
- Professional Development: Participate in internal training and pursue industry-specific courses to strengthen technical knowledge and credibility with corporate clients.

- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and databases.
- Ability to work independently, exercise good judgement, and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with brokers, clients, and internal teams.
Educational & Professional Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Ordinary Long Term (OLT) and Equity-Linked certifications (preferred).
- Three (3) years of experience in sales.
