JOB VACANCY Emergency Medicine Location Cheshire Hall & Cockburn Town Medical Centres Hours Full-Time Duration 2 years Annual Basic Salary: US $85,000.00 (Additional Allowances Provided) 1. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. The post holder will do or cause to be done the activities below. These activities are not exhaustive and other duties which are within the realms of his/ her qualifications, experience and ability may be required. 1.1. Provide ethical, competent, empathetic and evidence based patient care within acceptable regional and evidenced based standards 1.2. Provide evidenced based care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department 1.3. Manage as required, including, rescusitation and stabilization of all patients presenting to the Emergency Department 1.4. Refer patients as required to specialist services 1.5. Provides clinical guidance, direction and co-ordination of activties for supportive care , including follow up care within scope of practice. 1.6. Perform any other duies within the scope of the speciality as may be directed by the supervising physician 2. Administrative 2.1. Participates in continuous quality improvement processes 2.2. Contributes to development of departmental and institutional protocols, polices and guidelines 2.3. Participates in patient education and community outreach initiatives 2. KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR JOB Education Required • Holder of an approraite Emergency Medicine degree and, where necessary, Royal College / Boards / other certification in a specialty field of medicine. • Current ACLS /PALS/ATLS certification Experience Required • At least five years as a medical practitioner at independent level within the field of Emergency Medicine Communication Skills Required Good written and oral communication skills in English Demonstrated Skills/Abilities Required ▪ Basic computer skills ▪ Familiarity with Microsoft/Windows operating system Desirable ▪ Experience with Electronic Medical Records Systems Personal Attributes • Must have proven strong interpersonal skills ▪ Professional manner ▪ Proven ability to work as part of a team. Communication
