The Electronics and Instrumentation Technician - DCF reports directly to the Maintenance Operations Manager – Drilling & Completion Fluids Division.
JOB SUMMARY
The Electronics and Instrumentation Technician is responsible for executing all electronics and instrumentation operations of the DCF Business Unit, especially as it relates to installation, calibration and general maintenance of electronics, instrumentation, and laboratory equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The job duties require bending, stooping, reaching, standing and walking for extended periods. The job duties require the lifting of heavy equipment up to 50 lbs, wearing respiratory gear, wearing full body suits and climbing above ten feet at times.
ACCOUNTABILITY
The Electronics and Instrumentation Technician - DCF reports directly to the Maintenance Operations Manager – Drilling & Completion Fluids Division and functionally to the Electronics and Instruments Supervisor – TES.
FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations
a) Ensures equipment are clean and in good working order at all times
b) Conducts Installation, calibration, setup, troubleshooting and repairs of all Data Acquisition software and hardware including PLC systems.
c) Troubleshoots, repairs, services and calibrates Data Acquisition hardware accessories such as level sensors, flow meters, pressure transducers, volume sensors, laboratory testing equipment and acquisition cables.
d) Conducts installation, troubleshooting, repairing and calibration of all sensors
e) Conducts daily checks on the Level Sensor Systems and Load Cell Systems and ensures that all parameters are functional.
f) Works closely with the Maintenance Operations Manager and Electronics & Instruments Supervisor on preparatory work for upcoming jobs.
g) Ensures effective, efficient and safe handling, storage and use of all related tools and equipment.
h) Effectively and efficiently monitors and maintains inventory related to Department.
i) Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment according to the maintenance schedule.
j) Performs calibration according to the calibration schedule and ensures accurate and effective documentation of same.
k) Ensures that all equipment, materials, and accessories are delivered to and removed from the job site in a timely, safe and efficient manner.
l) Prepares and completes all job-related documentation / reports as required and requested and ensures timely submission of same.
m) Performs any other related duties required by management to ensure the successful completion and/or running of TES operations.
