Electronics Technician

Job Summary

The Electronics Technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of electronic solutions to customers in the market. The role encompasses customer engagement, performing site evaluations, threat assessment, solution design, installation, troubleshooting & maintenance and quality control. This role focuses on enhancing safety and security for businesses and homes through personalized, cutting-edge solutions

Key Responsibilities

  1. Solution Design & Installation:
    • Perform detailed site inspections to evaluate security needs based on a detailed threat assessment and risk assessment.
    • Design and implement customized security systems, including but not limited to burglary alarms, fire alarms, intrusion detection, access control, gate openers, and smart solutions.
    • Integrate advanced technologies such as AI-powered surveillance, real-time threat monitoring, and IoT-enabled devices to complement traditional security solutions.
  2. Maintenance & Support:
    • Provide ongoing system maintenance, including troubleshooting, repairs, and updates to ensure optimal system performance.
    • Conduct routine checks and upgrades on installed systems to maintain security integrity.
    • Train clients on system usage and provide technical support as required.
  3. Customer Interaction:
    • Work directly with clients, from residential homeowners to corporate and government entities, to understand their security concerns and offer tailored solutions.
    • Conduct post-installation follow-ups to ensure satisfaction and system functionality.
    • Maintain professional relationships and ensure exceptional customer service.
  4. Technological Integration:
    • Stay updated on the latest security technology trends and tools, including smart home integration, AI surveillance, and data analytics in security systems.
    • Integrate new technology seamlessly with existing security infrastructure to create comprehensive, responsive, and real-time security solutions.
  5. Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed records of site inspections, system designs, installation processes, and maintenance schedules.
    • Generate reports on system performance, client satisfaction, and any necessary improvements.
  6. Safety & Compliance:
    • Ensure all installations comply with local regulations, industry standards, and company safety protocols.
    • Perform regular checks to ensure systems are secure and reliable, minimizing vulnerabilities.
  7. Any other Task
    • As the operations of the business evolves and new technologies are adopted, utmost flexibility will be required to complete new/ additional tasks which may be assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Diploma or certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in security system design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of both traditional and advanced security technologies.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and integration of new technologies.

Desirable Skills and Competencies

  • Familiarity with IoT, AI-based systems, and smart technology integrations.
  • Experience working with a variety of clients, including residential, commercial, and government sectors.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based security solutions and data analytics.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing technology and business needs.

Working Conditions

  • Environment: work will be performed both in the field (at client location) and in office settings. The role involves significant travel to client sites including commercial, residential, and government entities.
  • Hours: Full-time position, with the need to be available for emergency situations outside of regular working hours.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and operate in various weather conditions.
  • Manual dexterity to handle complex wiring and system installations.
