Job Summary

Tropical Renewable Energy is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to support the design, execution, and quality control of solar and renewable energy projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical system design, technical validation, field oversight, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and validate solar PV systems, including load studies, component selection, and shading analysis.

• Prepare, review, and sign off on electrical drawings and technical documentation.

• Support project planning and collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure smooth execution.

• Conduct site visits to oversee installations and ensure technical compliance and quality standards.

• Assist with regulatory approvals and ensure adherence to applicable electrical codes and safety regulations.

• Support operations and maintenance (O&M) activities to ensure optimal system performance.

• Conduct technical audits and recommend improvements where necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in electrical engineering (solar/renewable energy experience preferred).

• Experience in electrical system design and reviewing technical drawings.

• Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for registration is an asset.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
