Master of Science in Information and Communication Technology

Description:

The Master of Science in Information and Communication Technology seeks to develop competencies in areas such as Security, Application Development (including mobile development) Multimedia, Telecommunications and Networking. There is also an emphasis on Leadership and Entrepreneurship.
 
The programme is a taught-based degree which provides a strong engineering foundation, and ensures competency in computer hardware and software systems; digital media systems, modern digital wireline and wireless communications; networking topologies; software engineering; multimedia technologies, and information systems.
 
This programme is accredited by the UK-based Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)

Entry Requirements

  • A Bachelor‟s degree from an approved university with a B+ average or Upper Second Class honours or an equivalent GPA.
  • Bachelor‟s degree with a lower than B+ average but with compensating experience and/or qualifications
Note: The Bachelor's degree should be in the areas of:
  • Computer Engineering,
  • Computer Science, or
  • An approved science or technical field.
Other qualifications and experiences deemed suitable by the relevant Post Graduate committee.
 
Bridging Requirements
Applicants who have not attained the prerequisite knowledge in the subject areas stated below are required to complete an
Undergraduate level (or MSc bridging) course. These courses carry zero credits and would not contribute to the cGPA of
the Student.
