The UTech’s MPhil/PhD in Career and Technical Education is the first of its kind in the region that addresses specifically the burning desires of numerous graduates of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in not only Jamaica, but in the entire English Speaking Caribbean Region.
- The emphasis is more on research in major Technical areas
- Successful M.Phil candidates could upgrade to Ph.D
- Candidates with Masters’ degree in related areas could transfer credits for admission into the Ph.D programme subject to assessment of transcripts.
Entry Requirements
- All applicants for the M.Phil/Ph.D degree in Career & Technical Education are expected to have at least a Bachelor’s degree with first class or upper second class honours, or its equivalent (at least 3.0 CGPA) in the related career, technical, vocational education, industrial arts, or any related occupational education disciplines obtained from an accredited university or institution. Individuals are required to submit transcripts and satisfy an interview.
