Summary of Position:

To develop and manage the international sales strategy for the company’s food products, ensuring compliance with export regulations while expanding market share and maintaining customer satisfaction across global markets.

 

Principal Accountabilities / Key Functions:

  • Export Strategy & Sales Development
    • Develop and implement the company’s export strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
    • Identify new international markets and business opportunities.
    • Identify expansion and growth strategies within existing markets.
    • Actively work with distributors to ensure that products are merchandised properly and stock-outs are minimized.
    • Ensure that the Company’s brands are properly represented in stores, including signage and other point of purchase materials.
    • Ensure that distributors are adhering to stock rotation rules.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with foreign distributors, agents, and direct clients.
    • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and reports for export operations as needed (monthly, weekly etc.)

 

 

  • Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
    • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including food safety standards (e.g., HACCP), packaging, and labeling requirements.
    • Oversee export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, health certificates).
    • Liaise with regulatory bodies, customs, and logistics providers.
  • Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
    • Coordinate with production, warehousing, and logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of export orders.
    • Manage freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transportation costs.
    • Monitor and mitigate risks related to international shipping, delays, and damage.
  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Provide excellent service to overseas customers and address any issues promptly.
    • Conduct market visits and attend international trade shows or exhibitions.
    • Prepare and monitor actions items based on market visits Gather customer feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Reporting, Market Intelligence & Profitability
    • Monitor export sales performance and report on KPIs.
    • Prepare and review of export value chain pricing model Review market profitability and develop strategies for improvements
    • Analyze global market trends, competitor activities, pricing structures, and regulatory updates.

 

  • Actively promote, support and comply with Kiss Baking Company Limited’s established Food Safety and Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and industry best practices;
  • Performs any other job-related duties as directed by Supervisor/Manager.

 

 

 

 

Required Technical Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

 

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Marketing, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification or certifications in export/import management or international trade (preferred).

 

Experience:

Minimum

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in export sales or international business, preferably in the food or FMCG industry.

 

  • Proven track record of developing new markets and managing export operations.

 

 

 

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of international trade laws and food export regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in export documentation, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
  • Ability to frequently travel internationally.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/export management systems.
  • Problem-solving abilities
