The Nicholas Group of Companies owns and operates as part of the Group of Companies, the Radisson Group of hotels in the Caribbean. We are seeking to recruit two dynamic and highly motivated individuals to join its team as the Executive Housekeeper for Radisson Grenada Beach Resort and Radisson Trinidad Ltd.

                                                

EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER

SUMMARY:

  • Responsible for the cleanliness, orderliness and appearance of the entire Hotel.
  • The individual will be responsible for directing activities of the housekeeping department including task planning, labour scheduling and inventory control.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work in a fast, progressive and dynamic hospitality environment and must be flexible to work shift including weekends/evenings/public holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Must possess strong leadership qualities, with the ability to organize and delegate tasks to a team of over 30 - 50 persons.
  • Must have sound knowledge of all aspects of housekeeping operations.
  • Create and implement operational policies and procedures for the entire department.
  • Ensure compliance in brand standards, create and implement strategies to align operations with Radisson Brand Requirements.
  • Create and implement strategies geared towards improvement of the Radisson Brand Customer Requirements.
  • Prepare reports for management information.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the department to ensure service standards are followed.
  • Maintain par stock of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, linen and uniform.
  • Organize inventories with the Accounting Dept. and General Stores for linen, amenities and fixed assets, to ensure appropriate stock is maintained at all times.
  • Manage the daily operations of the Laundry Department including care and maintenance of linens and other inventory to ensure the par levels are sufficient in the day to day operations.
  • Create and implement synergies with Front Office to ensure guests satisfaction.
  • Monitor the roster on a daily basis to ensure proper coverage and alignment with hotel’s operations and labour budget.
  • Execute Deep Cleaning and Special Cleaning Projects.
  • Ensure self-informed of all activities at the hotel.
  • Inspect Guest Rooms and Public Areas to ensure standards compliance.
  • Handle Guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying the proper areas and resolving the said concerns.
  • Actively participate in daily briefing and department meetings.
  • Ensure Room Attendants are informed daily about priorities in their section.
  • Report necessary maintenance items to be done.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
  • Plan, control and supervise Horticultural activities.
  • Pay particular attention while organizing pest eradication activities.
  • To perform duties of subordinate team members during high need periods.
  • Any other duties that maybe assigned from time to time.

 SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Computer literate with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and knowledge in Opera or related programming systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree in Hospitality Management is required
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar position within a four star hotel environment is required. 

 

Salary compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
