ELECTRICAL ENGINEER-SENIOR/INTERMEDIATE (REGISTERED)

The Senior or Intermediate Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design and construction supervision of all electrical systems related to luxury residential, commercial, medical, educational and industrial projects.

Electrical & Mechanical Consulting Engineers Limited (EMCE Ltd.) is a Building Services Engineering Design firm (Electrical, HVAC & Plumbing) located in Barbados and operating throughout the Caribbean. The Company offers consultancy services specialising in medical facilities, luxury residences, luxury hotels, commercial offices, retail, educational facilities, alternative energy solutions and industrial projects.

JOB SUMMARY – ELECTRICAL ENGINEER –SENIOR/INTERMEDIATE (REGISTERED)

EMCE Ltd. is seeking to employ an experienced and dynamic Senior/Intermediate Level registered Electrical Engineer for our Engineering Design Department.

The person appointed to this position will report directly to the Managing Director/ Director of Operations and collaborate with other members of our Team to strategically meet the goals and objectives of the Company.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior/Intermediate Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design and construction supervision of all electrical systems related to luxury residential, commercial, medical, educational and industrial projects. These systems shall include power distribution, power quality, lighting, fire alarm, intrusion detection, CCTV, access control, structured cabling, building management systems, home automation, stand-by power, alternative energy solutions, etc.

The successful candidate WILL have:

• Proven understanding of electrical engineering as it relates to the building services field (i.e. lighting, electrical distribution, fire alarm and security systems, structured cabling and I.T.)
• Knowledge of relevant electrical codes (NEC/IEE)
• Experience on construction projects
• Excellent time management and project management skills
• Ability to prepare & present designs and solutions
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills

Qualifications

• SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, MEP REVIT
  • A master’s degree is a plus but not a requirement

• INTERMEDIATE ELECTRICAL ENGINEER:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, MEP REVIT
