To perform the removal and installation of equipment, and carry out planned and unplanned maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, inspections, repairs, and overhauls on the offshore installation’s electrical, instrumentation, control, and safety systems, as directed by the Senior Operator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned and unplanned electrical and instrumentation maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, replacements, new installations, and overhauls on plant equipment and systems, including PLCs, Fire & Gas, and HMI systems.
  • Maintain all tools, test equipment, and plant equipment in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate calibration records and ensure the expiration tracker is up to date.
  • Ensure all applicable equipment is flagged for recertification in a timely manner or as scheduled.
  • Accurately document and report all maintenance, repairs, overhauls, adjustments, and inspections on the appropriate forms or reports, and store/archive them in accordance with established practices.
  • Investigate the causes of failures or anomalies and provide written recommendations to reduce or eliminate recurrence.
  • Support and enhance Safe Systems of Work and the Permit to Work system, with a focus on electrical, instrumentation, control, and safety aspects.
  • Coordinate the execution, monitoring, and updating of the predictive maintenance schedule and relevant maintenance forms.
  • Interpret readings from meters, gauges, pumps, compressors, instruments, PLCs, and charts to determine operational capabilities, limits, and parameters.
  • Manage E&I spare parts and consumable inventory, track utilization, and initiate procurement in line with established inventory strategies or minimum/maximum stock levels.
  • Adhere to all relevant platform systems and procedures, contributing to their ongoing review and improvement.
  • Comply with established standards and practices at the facility or within the assigned area.
  • Assist in managing any offshore emergencies in accordance with Company Emergency Response Procedures, performing nominated tasks as part of the Emergency Response Team.
  • Demonstrate personal commitment to Health, Safety, and the Environment (HSE) standards and practices.
  • Support the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintenance procedures, P&IDs, and electrical drawings as required.
  • Prepare scopes of work, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Management of Change (MOC) documents for approval, based on new installations, modifications, or significant changes.
  • Foster a positive work environment that supports the attainment of Divisional goals and the Company’s strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in company training programs to develop new skills and broaden technical expertise.
  • Provide technical guidance to the operations team as necessary.
  • Perform any other duties as directed or assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Technician Certificate/ Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • TBOSIET Training.
  • H2S Awareness Training.
  • Travel by Boat Training.
  • Level 2 Certificate in Process Technology- Petroleum Operations will be an asset. 

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an offshore environment with maintenance support in the Electrical and Instrumentation field.
  • Experience with instrumentation, valves, and control systems.
