Driver / Warehouse Attendant

Role purpose
Safely operate company vehicles to collect and deliver materials on scheduled routes, providing excellent customer service while upholding health, safety, and confidentiality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Drive assigned vehicles (light/heavy as applicable) to complete daily routes on time.

• Load, secure, transport, and unload bins/boxes/pallets using safe manual‑handling techniques and equipment.

• Collect and deliver confidential records, secure‑shred containers, recyclables, or goods between client sites, depots, and facilities.

• Maintain strict chain‑of‑custody: verify documentation, obtain signatures, and complete delivery notes/manifests in the route app.

• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections; report defects promptly; keep vehicles fuelled, clean, and roadworthy.

• Follow traffic laws, company policies, PPE requirements, and health & safety procedures; report incidents/near misses.

• Provide courteous, professional service; communicate delays or issues and assist colleagues in the yard/warehouse when required.

• Meet performance targets for safety, timeliness, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Valid driving licence appropriate to vehicle class and a clean driving record.

• Proven commercial driving experience; good knowledge of local routes and road regulations.

• Physically able to lift up to 25–35 kg and work in outdoor/hot conditions.

• Basic literacy/numeracy and comfortable using smartphones/route applications.

• Reliable, safety‑minded, and customer‑oriented; right to work.
