Build business by selling goods to customers and maintaining relationships with key clients. Identify new sales opportunities and markets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Properly check sales vehicle daily using the company’s vehicle checklist to ensure safety standards are met. Ensure that the vehicle is filled with oil and gas as required. Report any issues to the Supervisor immediately.
Service all customers by visiting them weekly as required based on pre-approved route plan and prepare productivity and effectiveness report daily.
Maintaining and updating route lists for assigned area.
Sync and verify load on ASKI each morning before leaving warehouse, ensuring that the load matches the pick ticket and the physical stock taken the previous day.
Load goods into company vehicle, ensuring proper storage and that the vehicle is properly locked and sealed when required.
Assist in establishing, developing and maintaining business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned area to generate profitable business.
Take customers inventory:
Physically take inventory on the day of visit where required (Massy stores, JTA)
Enter new order at the time of visit
Carefully off load items at the customerspremise.
Collect payments (cash or credit) on accounts and ensure credit customers sign for receipt of delivery. Advise customers in advance of outstanding payments due before next delivery.
Check, rotate and remove damagedstock from customer premises.
Introduce new products by providing the available brochure and literature to the customer during visits and communicate trade programs to customers when required.
Mandatory attendance at monthly sales meetings, HSE training or any other department meetings as required.
Follow-up and take corrective action regarding customer complaints.
Print a stock status report and physically balance stock at the end of each sales day before entering the off-loading bay.
Receive and check goods from the Bond Clerk against the company’s pick ticket, signing the pick ticket once in alignment.
Ensure all payments are secured and balanced at the end of each working day, seal payments in money bag and enter seal number on listing provided before securing bag in company vault.
Complete productivity and effectiveness sheet daily and submit to Supervisor.
Assist in other areas of work based on the needs of the department and any other area as necessary in support of Company activities.
All responsibilities and accountabilities must be executed in accordance with the company’s Customer Service Management System (CSMS), Quality Health and Safety Environment (QHSE) and Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) policies and practices.

Requirements

Sales skills.
Qualifications & Experience
3 O’Levels, including English and Mathematics.
OR two to three (2-3) years working experience in a sales environment.
Valid Heavy T driver’s permit with two (2) years driving experience will be an asset
