Driver
The Driver/Bearer is responsible for transporting students, staff, and visitors to and from the University campus. The incumbent also delivers documents and articles to and from the University.
Requirements:
The preferred applicant should possess:
- At least three (3) CXC subjects, including English Language, NVQ/CVQ Level 3 Certificate or equivalent qualification;
- A general driver’s license at a minimum laden weight of 4000kgs to drive motor cars, and trucks to include PPV or Open General;
- Knowledge of the Island’s road system and road codes;
- Knowledge of car and equipment maintenance.
- Knowledge of sorting techniques;
- Good interpersonal, communication and customer service skills;
- Training in defensive driving techniques; and
- At least one (1) year of experience as a commercial driver
