Driver

The Truck Driver is responsible for providing support to the warehouse operations with specific responsibilities of transporting orders over designated routes and ensuring safe operations of vehicles.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Drive Safely and follow all traffic laws, ensuring the safety of passengers and road users.
• Verify contents of orders to products loaded on the truck
• Load and organize goods in an orderly manner
• Safely and efficiently transport goods from the place of origin to assigned destination
• Ensure contents are properly secured inside of truck to prevent breakage or damage
• Monitor and assist with the offloading or onloading of items from the truck
• Assist warehouse staff and customers with loading and the delivery processes
• Interact with local customers, answer questions and advise them on company products
• Review all receipts and invoices, or any form of paperwork, to ensure correct quantity and type of items are received or delivered before leaving any location.
• Ensure timely deliveries
• Perform inspections on the assigned truck using the appropriate checklist every morning before use of the truck.

Qualifications and Skills required:

• 2 years related experience in similar work environment
• CXC passes in Mathematics and English
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Heavy Duty License required
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Must have a valid Certificate of Character
