Position Summary

The Driver will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods, supplies, and staff for operations in Guyana. This position requires reliability, excellent knowledge of road safety regulations, and strong customer service when representing the company in external interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport food supplies, equipment, and staff as assigned.

• Ensure timely pick-up and delivery of goods to vendors, suppliers, and partner locations.

• Inspect vehicles daily before use; report and coordinate any maintenance or repair needs.

• Maintain accurate mileage, fuel usage, and trip logs in accordance with company procedures.

• Adhere strictly to traffic rules, safety regulations, and company driving policies.

• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries when required.

• Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of company vehicles.

• Support restaurant operations by running errands (e.g., banking, procurement, supplier pickups).

• Provide courteous and professional service to all staff, suppliers, and stakeholders.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid Guyanese driver’s license (minimum category suitable for company vehicles).

• At least 2–3 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a hospitality or logistics environment.

• Clean driving record with no history of major traffic violations.

• Knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and road safety practices in Guyana.

• Ability to lift and handle moderately heavy loads (up to 50 lbs).

• Punctual, reliable, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.

• Strong interpersonal skills and customer-oriented attitude.

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills for completing delivery logs and reports.
