We are seeking an experienced Drilling Supervisor to support drilling operations for an operator in Trinidad. This is a hands‑on operational role responsible for supervising drilling activities and ensuring all operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and company standards.

The Drilling Supervisor will act as the Company Representative on site, coordinating contractors and service providers to deliver drilling objectives while maintaining a strong focus on HSE, well integrity, and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

Drilling Operations

  • Supervise day‑to‑day drilling activities in line with the approved drilling program
  • Ensure safe and efficient execution of drilling operations within budget and schedule
  • Coordinate rig operations, drilling contractors, and third‑party service providers
  • Monitor drilling parameters, performance, and well integrity
  • Identify operational risks and implement corrective actions

HSE & Compliance

  • Enforce company HSE policies, local regulations, and international standards
  • Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
  • Apply Stop Work Authority when required
  • Promote a strong safety‑first culture across all site personnel

Planning & Reporting

  • Participate in drilling planning and risk assessment activities
  • Prepare accurate daily drilling and operational reports
  • Track non‑productive time (NPT) and cost drivers
  • Support post‑well reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary interface between onshore teams, drilling engineers, and contractors
  • Provide clear operational direction to drilling crews
  • Support mentoring and competency development on site
  • Maintain effective communication between offshore and onshore teams

Qualifications & Experience

  • Technical diploma or degree in Petroleum Engineering, Drilling Engineering, or related discipline
  • 8+ years of drilling operations experience, including 3–5 years in a supervisory role
  • Proven experience in offshore and/or onshore drilling operations
  • Strong knowledge of drilling practices, well control, and well integrity
  • Experience working with MODU, jack‑up, or land rigs (as applicable)
  • Valid IWCF or IADC Well Control (Supervisor level) certification
  • Strong understanding of HSE and regulatory requirements
