Our team is currently looking for a Document Controller for a client in the Oil and Gas industry.

Requirements

• Diploma in Information Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in metadata management and use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organizational, planning and communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Experience working with EDMS (e.g. SharePoint) and data analysis tools is an asset.

• Receive, catalogue, organize and process electronic and paper documentation - data quality check, register in Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and issue to comply with information management procedures.
• Create/advise on taxonomy and metadata creation and maintenance.
• Support Operations team in day-to-day data management and reporting needs including searching, accessing, and using documents in the EDMS and controlled paper sets.
• Carry out user acceptance, proof-of-concept and related testing on global systems and applications, as well as testing of proposed changes to existing systems (typically IT led).
• Provide system administration for tools utilized in the Information Management team, including liaison with IT on failure analysis and ticket management, providing access to users and management of libraries.
• Support audit, discovery, litigation, and assessment activities.
• Provide guidance on information-related controls in areas such as Management and Protection of Information, Records Management Guidelines, Operations Integrity Management System, Controls Integrity Management System, copyright, and corporate separateness.
• Participate in global user groups for applications and systems supporting Information Management.
• Provide technical support and hands-on training in the use of EDMS components as well as DocuSign, Microsoft Office, and related tools.
• Support Information Management Team as required with Ad Hoc Requests and Projects.
